I love to play puzzle. My first jigsaw puzzle was bought by Ah Ma and Ah Gong. I was only one and a half years old then. I was not very good at it. However, Ah Ma taught me patiently.
Then Daddy and Mommy bought me my second puzzle. I was thrilled to have a new set. I think, this was the time I began to develop an interest in puzzle. I began playing them day and night. I was so good at it even though Mommy mixed all of them up (altogether 18 sets) I can still put them back in the blink of an eye.
One day, Daddy saw a Barney puzzle. He suggested to buy that for me but Mommy was in doubt that I can do it. I was not even 2 years old. Can I do a 40 piece jigsaw puzzle? It is originally meant for 3 years and above to do it. At least that's what the puzzle indicated. Well, Daddy bought it anywhere and taught me patiently. After a few days, I was able to do it with Daddy's help. Lesson learned: Don't underestimate my ability oh, Mommy!
Since then, Mommy and Daddy bought me a few more Barney puzzle. That was the time I was crazy about Barney. So it really captured my attention in completing the puzzle. I can mixed 2 to 3 different puzzles together, then randomly take a piece out and tell you which puzzle does it belong to. Am I smart? Definitely!!!
Then I started to lose interest in puzzle. Maybe I was too bored playing the same old puzzles over and over again. Mommy and Daddy tried to hunt for more but couldn't find. The Barney puzzle was out of stock for a period of time.
Daddy suggested to buy a 96 pieces puzzle for me. I was in love with Doraemon then. So a Doraemon puzzle may stir up my interest again. This time, although Mommy has doubt she did not stop Daddy. Hehee... learned from her previous mistake.
Daddy tried to teach me but I did not seem to pick up well. Finally, puzzles were put aside for a length of time. This was a dark season for puzzle.
Suddenly, we found lots of lots of Barney puzzle again in store. Daddy and Mommy bought a few for me, Ah Gong and Ah Ma too. But I only played for awhile.
It was until Daddy took out a 150 pieces glow in the dark puzzle that rekindle my passion for this brain cracking toy.
Amazing, isn't it? This puzzle was given by an aunty from the church. Mommy put it aside because it was meant for age 6 and above to play. Daddy, on the other hand, has much faith in me. He taught me slowly, dividing the puzzle into several parts. It took me no time to master it. What I love the most is, when it is done, I would always request to switch off the light. Then, phew! What a piece of art as we gaze at it glowing in the dark. Just simply irresistible!
