ChromeHeart Revelation

Last December, City Harvest Church (CHC) presented a musical production - ChromeHeart.  Until now, Elyse could still remember that church.  She called it 'The big TV church'.

As Easter was approaching and I began to browse thru several churches' websites on their activities, I came across CHC musical production - ChromeHeart Revelation.  At first glance, I thought it was a repeated show since the word 'Revelation' was in small print.  My disappointment turned into joy when Doreen told me CHC was having a sequel to their Christmas production.  Part 2?  That's interesting!

We went to CHC on Good Friday since Andrew was free.  It was drizzling but the concourse was packed with crowds.  The doors to the main auditorium was still closed but people were lining up to get the best seats.  Upon arrival, we met 3 ladies who warned us that this production is PG13 and Elyse may be scared when viewing certain scene.  I assured them I would not let that happen to my darling but those words had already sunk into our little girl's mind.  After seated down, Elyse kept asking 'why is it scary?' ' what is so scary?' and etc.

After the worship and plenty of announcements, the show finally began.  I explained patiently to Elyse on every scene and she was not scared at all.  In fact, she enjoyed watching the production as much as all of us do!  Indeed there were a few parts that looked kind of creepy, but Elyse was ok with it.  I begin to understand children are a piece of white paper, it is the adults that have instilled fear into their mind.  A creepy scene means nothing to them until the adults make comments like: 'So scary!' 'I don't dare to watch!' and etc.

It was around 10:30pm when the show ended.  We made our way out immediately as it was quite late for the kids.  The service continued with the sermon and altar call.

ChromeHeart Revelation was also featured in the local newspaper The Star2.  It was a breathtaking musical production.  Lots of efforts and hardwork have been put into it to see to the successful of this show.  The special effects were awesome but the storyline and the vocals were average.

Wanna watch the production?  You may purchase the DVD with a price of RM25, I think.  Audrey, Bi Ee, Bi Ee Ean, are you all keen?
