Do you still remember the story of Aladdin? Recenlty Elyse watched the film 'Aladdin' produced and released by Walt Disney. While explaining the storyline to her, we came across the part where genie granted Aladdin 3 wishes. Curious to find out what is the deepest desire of my darling princess, I asked her if she was Aladdin, what would she ask for?
Her answer:-
First Wish:
Everyone to scold Erwyn and not Elyse
Second Wish:
Lots of money
Third Wish:
Lots of toys
Surprised to find out my little girl is greedy for money, I asked her to further explain her second wish.
Elyse: Because when I have a lot of money, I can play all the children rides.
Now, if you were Aladdin, what would be your wish?

Names
This article was written long time ago but was kept in the draft until now. I'm not too sure why I did not post it then. But now that Elyse is four years old and Erwyn is one and a half years old, should I wait any longer?
Every parent wants to give their children the 'BEST' name. So do Andrew & I. Since our 'pat toing' days, we were in the look out for unique names. Both of us agree that it must be something uncommon, special, and it carries wonderful meaning.
Although those are the criteria at the back of our mind, it was not until we were expecting our first child then were we took things seriously. Since my own name is consider quite rare, a surname followed by a Christian name, and yet I have my Chinese name translated from the Christian itself. Well, thanks to my aunty (Chinese) and uncle (English) who have given me such a beautiful name. Andrew & I intend to follow after such example.
Since I was in charge of the membership of the church few years ago, I came across numerous names. I noticed that in recent years many parents looked for unique names. One of the trends is "surname followed by a Christian name". However the Christian name is break up into two syllabus. Eg: Lim Eu Gene. It is indeed one of a kind, and the Chinese name is derived from 'Eu Gene'. Another example is Tan Vic Cern, and the Chinese name is derived from 'Vic Cern'. Very distintive indeed, but Andrew & I have decided to stick to 'surname + Christian name'.
It was really not easy to find a significant names for our chilren, but we thank God for His guidance. Elyse carries the meaning 'the oath of God' and Erwyn is 'friend'. Although names are important, we do not want to fall into superstition. More importantly, we pray that both of our children will be God fearing, loving and live out the purpose and will of God in their lives.

Fond Memories
Lately Elyse's favourite hobby is to climb up the sofa. One evening, Mommy was scolding her for doing that again. Ah Gong, who was also there, warned Elyse that she may get hurt if she accidentally fall down. Then, she would have to stay in the hospital alone.
"Why?" Elyse asked.
"Because you are injured, so you need to stay in the hospital. Only doctor and nurses will be there. Daddy and Mommy cannot be there", Ah Gong explained.
"But last time when Ah Mah was sick, you are there in the hospital?" Elyse questioned.
Well, Ah Gong and Mommy looked at each other and we laughed. Hmm, this smart little girl actually remembered that and is able to reason with us. Is she too smart for her own good?
Anyway, we know that the sweet memories of Ah Mah have been well kept deep inside our dear darling. It has been almost a year, yet Elyse still misses Ah Mah. Initially, she refused to sing some of the children songs because those songs reminded her of Ah Mah. Yes, Ah Mah had been the teacher of the Sunday School songs to her. Not Mummy. Although Mommy did try to do so, Elyse preferred Ah Mah to teach her. And she enjoyed those moments with Ah Mah. Elyse used to put Ah Gong and Ah Mah to sleep every night back in Subang. However, she doesn't do so nowadays. When we asked her 'why', she told us that reminds her of Ah Mah.
Ah Mah has left a legacy behind, at least in Elyse's heart. How many of us could do so in the people that God has brought across our path?
Prize Cupboard Day
After attending the Junior Sunday School for one whole year, the long awaited day has finally arrived - Prize Cupboard Day!
Every week a sticker is awarded to children who are present, punctual, did their sunday school homework (Take Home Challenge), memorise previous week's memory verse, and won in group competitions. Elyse has been faithfull doing her homework and memorise every scriptures every week. There are only twice she was absent from Sunday School: The first time she was ill, and the second time Mummy was sick.
Elyse has certainly enjoyed Junior Sunday School for the past one year in KL Wesley. She is close to her group teacher and enjoys the company of other teachers. Nevertheless, she's going to bid farewell to all her beloved teachers and begin a new chapter of life in Malacca Wesley. We pray that she will be able to adjust to the new kindergarten, new Sunday School teacher, new church, new house and new environment swiftly.

At the end of the year, the number of stickers are calculated and children could redeem gifts based on the total points they have collected throughout the year. However, for children who are still in a tender age, the group teachers will assist by redeeming their presents earlier.
Elyse's group teacher, Teacher Charlene, helped her to redeem a number of beautiful gifts such as chocolate, crayon, pringles, playdoh, teddy bear and etc. Amongst them, the best of all is the dinosaur set. I'm not too sure, but I did not see any other kids having such a set except Elyse. She was so excited, she opened the package immediately and played with them in the classroom.

Legoland & Hello Kitty Town 3
Day 4 - Legoland (again!!!)
Two days ago we came in the morning. But one of the shopkeepers told us to come later in the afternoon. It should be less crowded. Shhh... please don't tell others oh.
So we visited Legoland again at around 3pm this time. Indeed, many people were going back and the weather was also better, not so warm.
We went for AQUAZONE Wave Racers, Dragon's Apprentice which is actually children roller coaster, Observation Tower, Lego Studios (4D movie adventure) and DUPLO playtown.
This time Mummy totally discard the idea of taking photos. Knowing that I really was into fun and not modelling. So the photos here were uploaded via website for your general view.
Mummy was a bit concerned when I wanted to try out the children roller coaster. Since more than a year ago I have been pestering Daddy and Mummy to sit the roller coaster in Berjaya Times Square Indoor Theme Park. They do not have a children's version, and my height does not allow me to ride the adult's one. Now I have the chance to fulfill my dream, would I reject it? No way! Mummy praised me for being so brave although half way through the ride I was telling Mummy 'Stop!!! I don't want to play anymore'. Will I try again the next time? Oh yes, yes, yes!
The Observation Tower gave us a great look at the Legoland. It is the park's highest lookout point at 60 metres.
We took a short break and have our dinner at one of the restaurants. Yes, it was already Dinner Time!
Next stop: Lego Studios. It was another 'maiden experience' as I watched the 4D movie adventures. I was really fascinated at its effect.
Finally, we went to the DUPLO Playtown and this time I sat the DUPLO Express, a colour train, several times until they closed for the day.
We left the park around 7:30pm. The sun is setting but our hearts were filled with contentment. Good bye, Legoland. Until we meet again.

Legoland & Hello Kitty Town 2
Day 3 - Hello Kitty Town
Today we were going to visit Hello Kitty Town. This is the first Hello Kitty Town in the world outside Japan oh. Pretty cool, huh?
This four-storey indoor theme park just opened its doors on October this year. It offers theme cafes, seven rides including a train, windmill, helicopter and bumper car for both children and adults. But I'm not tall enough to play the bumper car, how disappointing...
At the Wishful Studio, visitors can enjoy jewelry making, costume dress up at the photo studio as well as visit the nail salon where they can decorate their nails with Sanrio characters nail art. In addition, vistors can make Hello Kitty shaped cookies at the cookie studio and make their own Hello Kitty doll at the doll factory at the Wishful Studio. However, it was so crowded I only get to visit the nail salon.

Day 2 - Legoland
Due to the school holiday, Legoland was packed with people! We reached there around 11am, but the crowd was enormous!
Our first stop was Lost Kingdom Adventure. Since there's no picture taken, Mummy inserted one which was taken from the web.
Then we headed to the Baby Room to have lunch.
Beetle Bounce was our next stop. I have ridden on similar ride before in Genting Theme Park. And I enjoyed that a lot. Little did I know that this was much scarier than it looked. I cried and called for help when the ride began.
After that experience, I was a bit skeptical on all the other rides. I made sure either Daddy or Mummy could sit together with me. If not, I refused to play.
We also went to the DUPLO playtown and Build & Test. DUPLO playtown is basically a playground where there's slide, monkey bars and etc. Build & Test is where you may build your own lego cars. Thereafter, we queue up for the Royal Joust. Suddenly there was a heavy downpour. I was the next in line but the attendants have to stop the ride due to the rain. We were so disappointed as we have waited patiently for so long. Since there's no where else to go and our umbrella was left in the Baby Room where Erwyn was fast asleep, we waited for another 15 mins before the ride was resumed.
We called it a day after that ride. All of us were tired. Daddy drove back to KL that evening.

Legoland & Hello Kitty Town Prequel
It's finally the school holiday! Although I enjoyed my kindergarten, but I am a child, my work is play! And this school holiday, Mummy promised to bring me to JB's latest attraction: Legoland & Hello Kitty Town! Actually, thanks to Er Yi who persuaded Mummy to buy the Annual Pass for the Legoland. If not, Mummy wouldn't have spent so much $$.
Monday morning we were scheduled to drive down to JB. But a little drama unfolded. I suddenly felt ill on Saturday afternoon. I was having high fever. Mummy had to give me paracetomol every four hours instead of the usual eight hours. I practically lied on the bed all the time. Have you heard of this statement: When children are sick, it is alright if they are running around. But watch out when they just lie still, motionless.
I missed my Junior Sunday School Christmas Party that Saturday afternoon. Oh... so sad. The night before, I was helping the teachers to pack all the gift packs. I also watched a little bit of the play as the teachers rehearsed. It talked about the birth of Jesus, but interestingly they incorporated the gangnam style into the play. Mummy did not like gangnam style, but she commended it was very unique indeed.
We almost cancelled the JB trip due to ME! Mummy was very worried at my condition. At the same time, disappointed because the $$ spent on the annual pass would have been wasted. Also, this was the first time of the year Daddy was free to go down to JB with us.
Finally, when all hope is gone, Mummy felt the urge to pray together with me on Sunday night. We do normally pray before sleep, but this time was different. I think God told Mummy to pray for me. On Sunday morning 5am, Mummy still had to wake me up to take paracetamol because my temperature was still high. Amazingly, when I woke up at 8am I no longer have fever. I was running around playing. This surprised Daddy & Mummy. But they thought maybe when the medicine wear off, my temperature would go up again. But at 10am, I was happily jumping and talking and playing as though I am a healthy girl and there's nothing wrong.
So, Daddy & Mummy decided to take the risk and just go! Within an hour, Daddy & Mummy packed everything and jumped inside the car. I was still feeling a bit weak but no temperature was detected. This was my first time sitting in the car for four hours, without a short nap. I was a bit impatient at times, but over all, I was quite a good girl. Mummy was so proud of me.
We really thank God for His healing grace. I am alright throughout my JB trip and did not fall sick at all. Now, are you ready to follow me to the theme park and have some adventures?

Fun time
Accidentally stumbled upon this new playground 'Yu Kids Playsystem' at One Utama and felt that this is much more different with others that we went before. Most of the equipment are mechanized. The location is quite secluded, beside MacCity Shop at New Wing.
Only one adult is allowed to stay with the child, so Daddy became the 'babysitter' while the rest of us went shopping.

Sunday School Outing
It was a sunny morning as the parents and children from Junior KIDS Sunday School of Wesley MC gathered together at the MBS field.
After the registration, the parents and their children were divided into different groups and board their busses accordingly. Many children were so excited as this was their first time sitting in a bus! Well, that of course include Elyse.
Andrew was supposed to join us for this family outing, so does Erwyn. But the night before the outing, Andrew was called to conduct a funeral service that very morning. Alas! There goes our plan. It would be quite handful for me alone to handle 2 kids, especially with Erwyn still struggling to walk. So finally, only Elyse and I went for this outing.
This was our first time visiting the Lake Gardens. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a peaceful, green respite hidden away from the noise and concrete of Kuala Lumpur just a few hundred metres away. There is even a huge children's adventure playground in the middle of the garden!
The theme of this Sunday School outing is Rainbow. Once we settled down at the designated place, the Rainbow fun begun. There were 5 playstations, each group rotated in between the 5 stations. I was so busy playing together with Elyse, there was no time left for me to take any pictures!
When we have finally finished all the stations, it was time to Makan! Our stomach was rumbling and many of us were drenched with sweat!
The finale was none other than the Tug of War. Elyse had a great time playing this game. During her kindergarten Sports Day, her class was not involved in this activity. Now she finally got the chance to pull the robe!
After all the fun and laughter, we took a group picture and proceeded to the children playground while waiting for the arrival of the bus. The bus was filled with noise when we went to Lake Gardens. However, it was a total silent when we returned home. Looks like the children were exhausted, so did the parents.
The Lake Gardens are an enjoyable, shady place to simply stroll around. I hope to bring Elyse and Erwyn here again in the near future - a family outing indeed. But this time, Daddy, please make yourself available!
