Elyse is really blessed in many ways.
Many of her clothes are given by my sister and church members.
It may be second hand, yet some of them are quality stuff and in good condition.
Recently when I was doing the packing for the moving house,
found out that there were 2 big bags of Elyse's old clothes ready to be given away.
And another 2 big boxes of new/used clothes are kept
for Elyse when she grows bigger/older.
For the past 2 weeks Elyse has been asking a lot of 'why'.
"Why daddy go Teluk Intan?"
"Why Ah Gong sleep?" "Why raining?"
These are some of the the questions just to name a few.
We smile as we tried our best to answer this curious little girl.
However, sometimes we struggle to explain the simple thing in life.
It's fun to see how such a small brain can produce those wonderful questions.
Elyse is created in God's image, this I'm sure.
We had our hard time when playing pretend with Elyse.
For she loves to play 'talking' with everything she comes across.
Her toys are not just limited to what we call 'toys'.
But even her toothbrush, her blanket, her pajamas are part of her 'talking buddies'.
We love Elyse just the way she is.
She may be naughty at times, yet she's always our precious girl.
She's God blessing to both Andrew and I.
We treasure every moment as we journey along with her.

Precious moment
Elyse has been a cute wonderful darling to us. Many times we are amazed by her ability to convey her thoughts to us though she's only 2 years and 3 months.
One example:
This morning, Ah Gong was carrying Elyse and they met Rev Wong Onn Thau as they walked into the sanctuary.
Rev Wong asked Elyse: "Where is your daddy?"
Elyse: "Teluk Intan."
Rev Wong: "Why are you not in Teluk Intan with daddy?"
Elyse: "No house."
They burst into laughter.
We have never mentioned to our precious one that the parsonage in Teluk Intan is not ready to move in yet. But probably she has learned that during our conversation with others.
Another exmaple:
We went to a restaurant for dinner today. After everyone got their dishes, Elyse started asking: "Daddy eating wat?"
Daddy: "Fried rice."
Elyse: "Mommy eating wat?"
Mommy: "Kuey Teow."
Elyse: "Ah Gong eating wat?"
Ah Gong: "Ah Gong is eating mee."
Elyse: "Ah Mah eating wat?"
Ah Mah: "Ah Mah's eating mee also."
Then Elyse began her second round of interrogation. She asked everybody the same question again. But this time Ah Mah accidentally said "Rice" intead of "Mee".
Elyse: "No, Ah Mah eat mee, not rice."
One round of applause for our darling. She actually remembers!
Many many other examples like this happen everyday. I wish I could write all of them down. Sometimes it just slip through my mind. But Elyse is definitely a joy to us. We thank God for such a wonderful daughter.
